PLANNING A DREAM WEDDING

What was the most important to the two of you while planning? ell us a little a bit about your wedding (your vision, color, style, and location choices). We both were very involved in the planning process. Star with Star Hansen Events was a huge help in our planning processes as our wedding planner. She was beyond knowledgeable withvendors and creative ideas. Star went above and beyond during the to help. She was so prepared, the day of the wedding we had no major hiccups that had an effect on the day of.We got married at Saddlerock Ranch in the Garden venue. It’s also the venue with the giraffe. Our colors were champagne and gold with pops of burgundy. Although our wedding was outside, I still wanted it to have a very Romantic Chateau feel. It’s very easy to let an outdoor venue become vintage, but we wanted it to be formal.I felt the planning processes went very smoothly with a few hiccups, but the hardest thing for me was coming from a divorced family and wanting everyone to as involved as possible. The wedding events were the first time my Mom and Dad had been in the same room and had been cordial with each other in over 10 years. I am so proud of how both sides of my family acted towards each other. My biggest fear was that both sides would not be able to put aside their differences for this special time in our lives. I wanted everyone to be involved and they were understanding of that. I couldn’t have been happier.Bizhan and I each had 9 members in our bridal party. Boys wore all black suits, girls wore tones of champagne, gold, and blush. Bizhan and I each had 2 maids of honors and 2 best men. His brother and best friend, my sister in (Bizhan’s sister) and my best friend. With such a big bridal party, there was a lot of room for something to happen haha! But everyone was on it the day of! They were right by our side the whole day to help us with anything we needed and to celebrate this time in our lives. The day of the wedding went by so quickly. I just remember showing up at 8 am and hanging out then all of sudden I was getting dressed and from that moment on it was rush of excitement and nerves. Everyone says “take in every moment because it flies by” and it really did! The getting ready processes were calmer then I expected, but I remember looking outside as the rental company was setting up and thinking “how are they going to get this finished in 2 hours?!” But they did it! And it was simply beautiful. Elegant and romantic are the best ways I can describe our decor. We received so many comments on the flowers, they were stunning! The band was amazing. From the violins, during the ceremony to the full 17 member band at reception they sounded great and played all our favorites. They played everything from ballads to Motown to Persian music. Their repertoire was outstanding! Our photo booth was great! Someone took the photos as opposed to just standing in a booth, it helped make sure everyone made it into the photo. At the end of the night, we were absolutely exhausted! But when we looked back at the wedding at a whole, there is not a single thing we would have changed!

MEMORABLE MOMENTS

Your favorite moments of the day? Bizhan and I decided we did not want to do a first look and we both agree, we would not have changed that. The feeling is hard to describe. But emotions are running crazy all day with excitement and nerves. The whole build up to that moment made waiting worth it. Seeing the man I’m going to spend the rest of my life with waiting for me at the alter was an unbelievable feeling of emotion. Bizhan said “Everything leading up to that moment seeing her walk down the aisle was the perfect way to top off a beautiful moment we shared in our life. I honestly think I wouldn’t have cried as she walked down the aisle if we had done a first look.” Although we missed out on a few things while we did romantic photos and felt a little rushed, I wouldn’t have changed a single thing!Stanley the giraffe was a huge hit at the wedding. We had heads of lettuce for guests to feed him and take photos with him. He even dressed for the occasion with a bow tie.As we cut the cake, our cake knife broke! It made for some hilarious photos, we laugh every time we think about it or see the photos.    We are in full swoon over this Chic Ranch Wedding In Malibu – Completed With Lush Burgundy FloralsEvent Planner: Star Hansen Events | Venue: Saddlerock Ranch | Band: LIV Entertainment Group Inc. | Photography:Jenny Quicksall Photography | Dress sold by: A Bride By Samantha | Videography: Ridge Production | Rentals: A Rental Connection | Florals: Unique Floral Designs | Cake: It's all about the cake o.c I| Catering, Bar, and Desserts: Contemporary Catering | Hair Stylist: Kristine Walkins | Photo Booth: @red carpet photo sh | Security: Sandman Security | Shuttles: Pacific Platinum | Valet: SoCal Valet
